Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by your local guide in the arrivals area holding a name-board. After a brief introduction, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Experience a half day trip along the bustling Chao Phraya River and the quiet Klongs (canals) in a long tail boat enjoying scenes of life by water. A stop will be made at the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun). Situated close to the Chao Phraya, Bangkok’s River of Kings, visit the Grand Palace. The Palace occupies nearly one square mile and is the former royal residence of the Chakri Kings and among the most popular of Bangkok’s attractions. Return to the hotel for the afternoon at your leisure. Tour does not operate on Sundays.
Visit the former capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya, situated approximately 75 kilometres north of Bangkok. The mixing of cultures in Ayutthaya began in the mid-16th century when ships from Ayutthaya plied the Asian seas, trading with neighbouring countries. Although the ancient villages of foreign traders lining the Chao Phraya riverbanks were abandoned, some remnants have survived to showcase the cities past glory. Your tour starts at the Summer Palace of the late King Rama V, commonly known as “Bang Pa-In”. You continue to the magnificent ruins of early splendour that Ayutthaya is most known for. We will pass or visit all the most impressive ruins of this World Heritage Site. We will return to Bangkok on a cruise down the Chao Phraya River on a comfortable, air-conditioned cruise ship, while enjoying a sumptuous buffet lunch on board.
After breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to the airport to board your flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia. On arrival in Siem Reap, meet your local guide and explore Khmer Temples from the early Angkorian period. Visit the Roluos group of temples dating from the 9th and 10th centuries, including the Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei Temples.
Start your full day tour of the Angkor Archaeological Park by entering Angkor Thom via the Southern Gate to explore the ancient city. Proceed to visit the enigmatic Bayon temple, and the ruins of Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper Kings. In the afternoon, visit magnificent Angkor Wat where you will explore its extraordinary architecture with your expert guide’s narrative bringing this intriguing piece of history to life. This evening, experience a spectacular sunset over the monuments.
Visit the graceful 11th century Temple of Shiva (Banteay Srei) and the Banteay Samre Temple before touring the Ta Prohm Temple, mystically enveloped in the surrounding jungle. Later, take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake to a floating village, and this evening, enjoy a wonderful dinner & traditional Apsara dance performance.
Enjoy breakfast before you are met in the hotel at the appointed time and then transferred to the airport for your flight to Koh Samui via Bangkok. On arrival on the island of Samui, meet your local guide in the arrivals area and then drive to your hotel for check-in
