Ngwe Saung Beach Break

Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day is yours to start soaking up the local culture. 

Head downtown to the Central Post Office from where we will begin our walking tour. Encompassing the colonial highlights and more traditional architecture, stroll Strand Road and Pansodan Street before admiring the Sule Pagoda and City Hall. Visit the National Museum and browse in the Bogyoke Market. Finally explore Shwedagon Pagoda whose huge golden stupa dominates the city’s skyline. This is Myanmar’s most sacred Buddhist site and is purported to have four relics of former Buddhas enshrined within. 

This morning you will be picked up from your Yangon hotel for the drive through the Irrawaddy Delta to Ngwe Saung beach. Ngwe Saung, which means Silver Beach, is located about 5-6 hours drive from Yangon on the beautiful Bay of Bengal and features 14 kilometers of sandy beaches.  Arrive in Ngwe Saung in the afternoon - Free time for relax.

Enjoy two full days at leisure in Ngwe Saung. Daily breakfast is served and there are options for boat trips or bike rides.

After breakfast, enjoy a few more hours of relaxation before departing for Yangon late this morning. On arrival Yangon, transfer to either your hotel or to the airport for your onward flight.
