Many visitors enjoy a trip to these surprisingly Saharan-like sand dunes located not far from Mui Ne’s important beaches. There are the two fascinating spots to check out: the white and the red sand dunes which are regarded as the oriental – Sahara desert kept changing their shapes as a result of blowing wind and the shadow of sunlight.
The White Sand Dunes just outside of Mui Ne are one of Vietnam's charming geological oddities which have long been a creative subject of artistic photographs and paintings. “Bach Ho” or “Bau Sen” (Lotus Pool) are some the other names of White Lake, surrounded by natural freshwater, pristine white sand-dunes and low forests. From a distance, Bau Trang appears as a mysterious landscape painting gifted by the nature thanks to the combination of blooming lotuses, blue water, mallards and other birds of prey on the calm surface of the lake. Here you can enjoy not only sand-sliding but also quad-bike (pay more) for fantastic eye-viewing the lotus lake locating in the heart of the dunes, which is available during four seasons.
Smaller than White Dunes, The Red Dunes, as the name suggests, features reddish-brown sand that makes them a more popular place for photography.
- In the afternoon, at 01:00pm, our jeep picks you up from your resort/hotel in Mui Ne to visit the Fairy Stream where you can not miss in Mui Ne because of the really nice place.
- Then you will have a chance to visit Yellow sand dune. From the top of the Yellow one, you can see all of the scenery of Mui Ne when you can discover the daily activities of the fishing farm.
- Not only visiting white sand dune, you will be fulfilled by the beautiful white sand dune. It is more romantic time for seeing the sunset or slidding on the sand. Moreover, in the middle of the white sand dune there is Lotus Lake – lotus is one of the famous flowers in Viet Nam.
