Day 1: Ho Chi Minh / My Tho / Ben Tre / Can Tho (L)
Embark on a scenic journey from Ho Chi Minh passing by stunning rice fields. Upon arrival at My Tho, visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river and see stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the riverbanks. Proceed to the beautiful Tortoise Islet and take delight in a sumptuous lunch at an orchard.
Then, take a boat ride to An Khanh, a less-visited yet equally spectacular attraction in Ben Tre. Enjoy cruising along natural canals aboard a hand-rowed boat and enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea while listening to the sound of the Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by the locals,
Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy and observe the pastoral life as you roam around fruit plantations and villages.
Proceed to Can Tho, the fourth largest city in Vietnam. Upon arrival, take your free time to visit the bustling city market or enjoy a lovely dinner at a local restaurant at your own expense. You will then spend your night at one of the city's finest hotels.
Day 2: Phong Dien / Cai Rang (B/L)
Take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river ( Bassac River), then proceed to visit Cai Rang floating market, which is the liveliest in the whole region. Then, see how the famous Vietnamese vermicelli soup is cooked before strolling around the village and meeting the locals. Muster your courage and experience crossing the Monkey Bridge which is built using only one stem of bamboo. You will also visit an orchard and stop at a local restaurant for lunch before the tour concludes with a transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.
